Toyota приступила к продажам RAV4 Adventure 2018

Еще в феврале на Чикагском автосалоне Toyota представила миру новую внедорожную версию своего кроссовера RAV4 Adventure, теперь же в США открылся прием заказов на автомобиль 2018 модельного года, стартовая цена которого составляет $28 695.

Интересно, что RAV4 Adventure можно купить и без полного привода и указанная цена – именно за модификацию 2×4. Тем же, кто желает по полной программе раскрыть потенциал SUV в брутальном стиле, придется заплатить $29 395 за привод на обе оси. Далее покупателю предложат длинный список опционального оборудования, которое способно серьезно увеличить итоговый чек.

Характерные отличия

Дабы RAV4 Adventure не спасовал даже перед сложным бездорожьем, инженеры Toyota подправили подвеску кроссовера, увеличив дорожный просвет до 170 мм (+10 мм). Очевидно, что такой “гигантский” клиренс сможет справиться лишь с едва торчащими из грунтовки корнями деревьев, но в Toyota посчитали это достаточным, ведь если взглянуть на остальные характеристики, станет понятно, что версия Adventure лишь дизайн-пакет, сдобренный рядом систем для комфорта в длительных семейных путешествиях.

Так, для любителей пускаться в дальний путь с прицепом, компания поставила на кроссовер более мощный радиатор и дополнительные кулеры моторного и трансмиссионного масла – это поможет агрегатам сохранять нормальную рабочую температуру при длительном движении с увеличенной нагрузкой (буксировка прицепа). Также, в перечень стандартного оборудования RAV4 Adventure входит система TSC (Trailer Sway Control), следящая и гасящая (но не исключающая) раскачивание прицепа.

Оснащение

Далее, в помощь водителям, жаждущим приключений, инженеры производителя позаботились об установке системы HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control) для легкого трогания в горку. А за безопасность отвечает комплекс Toyota Safety Sense P, объединяющий такие технологии как предупреждение столкновений с распознаванием пешеходов, динамический круиз-контроль, автоматический дальний свет и мониторинг сохранения полосы с возможностью подруливания.

Дизайн

Внешне Toyota RAV4 Adventure легко распознать по черным акцентам и деталям экстерьера. Так, черный оклад получили головные и противотуманные фары и рейлинги на крыше, а черная защита колесных арок стала массивней. При этом РАВ 4 стал самым дорогим автомобилем в топовой десятке российского рынка, расположившись на 10 месте со смешным отставанием в 388 авто от Lada XRAY.

Сменив поколение японский кроссовер Toyota RAV4 кардинально изменился внешне. От спокойного, а местами даже унылого дизайна экстерьера кузова предшественника не осталось и следа. Новая генерация компактного кроссовера РАВ 4 от Тойота демонстрирует брутальный, строгий, харизматичный и атлетичный дизайн экстерьера кузова с нотками, заимствованными у кроссоверов марок Jeep и Lexus.
Передняя часть кузова новинки образована гармоничным слиянием в единую композицию крупной трапеции фальшрадиаторной решетки, строгих фар головного света и массивного бампера с высоко расположенными противотуманками.

Сбоку кузов кроссовера демонстрирует брутально угловатые колесные арки с массивными пластиковыми накладками, мощные и раздутые поверхности крыльев и дверей, сильно заваленную назад рамку лобового стекла, ровную линию крыши, опирающуюся на задние мощные стойки с обратным наклоном, компактную корму, украшенную харизматичными выштамповками.

Задняя часть кузова нового поколения Тойота РАВ 4 строга, прямолинейна и привлекательна. В наличии высоко забравшиеся остроконечные плафоны светодиодных габаритных фонарей, правильный прямоугольник крупной двери багажного отделения, солидный бампер с мощной пластиковой защитой.

Новое поколение кроссовера переехав на платформу TNGA K со стойками МакФерсона спереди и многорычажкой обзавелось более крепким кузовом, с увеличившейся на 57% жесткостью кузова на кручение по сравнению с предшественником. При этом новый Тойота РАВ 4 получил большие на 30 мм размеры колесной базы, чем у прошлого поколения модели, кузов новинки увеличился в длину на 5 мм и в ширину на 10 мм, дорожный просвет увеличился на 13 мм, а вот в высоту кузов стал меньше на 5 мм. Остается лишь добавить, что колея передних и задних колес стала больше, максимальный размер колесных дисков подрос до 19 дюймов, а свесы кузова стали компактнее.

Внешние габаритные размеры кузова Toyota RAV4 2018−2019 года составляют 4595 мм в длину, 1854 мм в ширину, 1699 мм в высоту, с 2690 мм колесной базы и 210 мм дорожного просвета.

Строгость и солидность наблюдаются и в оформлении салона 5 поколения японского компактного кроссовера Тойота РАВ 4. При этом многие детали интерьера, инструменты и оборудования, присутствующих в салоне Toyota RAV4, знакомы по Toyota Corolla Hatchback. В наличии компактное мультифункциональное рулевое колесо, панель приборов с 7-дюймовым цветным экраном по центру, возвышающийся над торпедо цветной экран мультимедийного комплекса Entune 3.0 (в зависимости от уровня комплектации с диагональю в 7,0 или 8,0 дюймов), двухзонный климат-контроль.

Так же хотим отметить оригинальную архитектуру переднее панели и центральной консоли, новые кресла для водителя и переднего пассажира с яркими валиками боковой поддержки, богатое оснащение базовой версии новинки и качественные материалы отделки. Американским автолюбителям новый кроссовер Toyota RAV4 уже в базовой комплектации предлагается с обширным набором опций: мультимедийка Entune 3.0 с 7-дюймовым цветным сенсорным дисплеем (Wi-Fi Connect, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, камера заднего вида), 8 подушек безопасности, климат-контроль, электрический привод стояночного тормоза, комплекс систем безопасности Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (Pre-Collision System с функцией Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert с Steering Assist, Automatic High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist и Road Sign Assist).

В качестве дополнительных опций производитель предлагает электропривод кресел водителя и переднего пассажира, двухзонный климат-контроль, подогрев передних и задних сидений, вентиляцию передних кресел, панорамную крышу с люком, электропривод двери багажного отделения с функцией бесконтактного открытия при помощи взмаха ноги под бампером, аудиосистему JBL с 11-тью динамиками мощностью 800 Вт, салонное зеркало с возможностью вывода на него картинки с камеры заднего вида, кожаную отделку салона.
Для покупателей предложат также два особых исполнения нового кроссовера: спортивная версия XSE (спортивные нотки в декоративном оформлении, двух цветная окраска кузова, специально настроенная на спортивный лад подвеска), внедорожная версия Adventure (мощные бампера, пластиковые накладки увеличенного размера по периметру кузова, массивные рейлинги, специальные колесные диски).

Кроссовер Тойота РАВ 4 построен на модульной платформе TNGA K, а самыми близкими соплатформенными братьями новинки являются седаны Toyota Camry и Toyota Avalon новейших поколений. Для американского рынка 5 генерация RAV4 получил две силовых установки.
Базовая версия Toyota RAV4 с четырех цилиндровым атмосферным 2,5-литровым мотором Dynamic Force (206 лс 249 Нм) в компании с 8 АКПП. Стандартно привод на передние колеса, но в качестве опции полный привод с муфтой подключающей задние колеса.
В качестве альтернативного варианта Toyota RAV4 Hybrid оснащаемая силовой установкой Toyota Hybrid System в составе 2,5-литрового бензинового мотора Dynamic Force, электромеханического вариатора и отдельного электродвигателя для привода задних колес. Гибридная силовая установка обладает суммарной мощностью в 180 сил и 221 Нм максимального крутящего момента.

Интересно, что для дорогих комплектаций нового поколения Тойота РАВ 4 японская компания предлагает продвинутую систему полного привода Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD с индивидуальными муфтами для каждого из задних колес, что обеспечивает управление вектором тяги. При этом карданный вал с обоих сторон оснащен простыми кулачковыми муфтами, обеспечивающими его полное отключение при движении по трассе. Также в техническом арсенале новинки присутствует система Multi-Terrain Select, позволяющая выбрать оптимальный режим работы электронных систем для различных дорожных покрытий.

Review: 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure heightens the small crossover segment

For the 2018 model year, Toyota added a new Adventure grade for the RAV4 crossover. The new trim point adds body clearance, ride height, and other changes to the 2018 Toyota RAV4 as a last hurrah before the small crossover undergoes its transformation into a new generation for 2019.

The 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure is very much like the RAV4 XLE model, which has a lower-end list of amenities and simpler, less flashy interior. The Adventure adds about half an inch to the RAV4’s ride height, making it 6.5 inches (16.51 cm) above ground, versus 6.1 (15.49 cm) on the standard model. All other changes for the Adventure model are in appearance only.

The 2018 Toyota RAV4 is not likely to win beauty contests for its boxy design and oddly double-chinned front fascia. Yet somehow, adding some beefed up fender guards, thicker «high impact plastic» lower body cladding, and more aggressive-appearing front and rear lower fender guards, makes it look more rugged. From there, Toyota went about creating a new brand identity with mountain-shaped insignia that appear all over the RAV4 Adventure, making sure everyone is aware that this is the adventure-grade model.

Other changes include a standard hood stripe, 18-inch black alloy wheels, a roof rack, and a factory towing package. We will say that the added body height on the RAV4 Adventure, which is most prominently seen around the wheel wells, gives the Adventure trim a more robust look than its standard model counterparts. This additional clearance is also seen on the RAV4 SE package, but without the robust guards and flares, and thus not as easily noticed.

The 2018 RAV4 Adventure also has changes to its interior over the more sedate XLE model, adding rubber floor mats and a rear cargo mat with that Adventure logo, and some faux carbon fiber inserts for the dashboard and center stack.

It’s clear that Toyota is aiming for the REI-shopping, Teva-wearing buyer with this new RAV4. The RAV4 Adventure retains, unchanged, the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission found in all other RAV4 models and even leaves front-wheel drive as the standard for the Adventure grade. All-wheel drive is an option, at an additional price. Speaking of which, the 2018 RAV4 Adventure is about US$3,000 more than the base model RAV4.

We like the idea behind the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure, but we think it needs more than is being offered. Infotainment, for example, is sub-par and not very likable. Daily driving in the RAV4 is good, but not stellar with a sluggish feel to the power output. The engine takes a lot of work to get to its full 176-horsepower (131 kW) potential.

That realization comes after spending a day driving the 2018 RAV4 Adventure on an icy lake in Colorado and a week driving it as an everyday family transporter. The 2018 RAV4 is a functional, well-designed vehicle for the compact crossover class, but this generation of the vehicle trails behind others in the segment.

Roominess inside the Adventure is good for a small family and those who need some utility space for cargo hauling. Accoutrements in the RAV4 are, however, not up to par with expectation and design elements, like the oddly-shaped dashboard, are outdated compared to others today. Cheap plastics are also a problem in the 2018 RAV4 Adventure, which feels far less upscale overall than do competitors like the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, and the Mazda CX-5.

PLANO, Texas, Sept. 14, 2017 – The outdoor adventure bucket list just got longer thanks to the much-anticipated showroom arrival of the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure grade that adds exclusive exterior styling features with grade-specific interior touches to the RAV4.

First revealed at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, the 2018 RAV4 Adventure slots in between the XLE and SE gas grades. On the outside, large over-fender flares and 18-inch five-spoke black alloy wheels with 235/55R18 tires are ready to play in the dirt. The RAV4 Adventure grade also includes unique gray lower valance panels and rocker panel guards, black headlight bezels, black fog lamp surround, roof rails, and exclusive Adventure badging. Drivers and passengers can enjoy the RAV4 Adventure while riding a bit higher – overall height increases by 10 mm, and ground clearance rises to 6.5 in., up from 6.1 in.

Exclusive interior features include carbon-fiber-like trim panels, leather-wrapped shift knob, “RAV4 Adventure” logoed door sill protectors, and all-weather floor and cargo mats with “RAV4 Adventure” badging. New and exclusive for the RAV4 Adventure grade is a 120V/100W power outlet in the cargo area which can serve as a convenient portable charging station.

The active lifestyle-inspired RAV4 Adventure grade will be available in front-wheel drive (FWD) with an Automatic Limited Slip Differential, or in Dynamic Torque Control All-Wheel-Drive (AWD). Both versions feature a standard Tow Prep Package that includes an upgraded radiator and supplemental engine oil and transmission fluid coolers. When properly equipped with the available tow hitch receiver and wiring harness, the Adventure grade can tow 2,900 lbs. with FWD models and 3,500 lbs. with Dynamic Control AWD models.

As with all RAV4 models, the Adventure grade will come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC). TSS-P includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function (PCS w/ PD); Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist function (LDA w/ SA); Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Automatic High Beams (AHB). The RAV4 Adventure grade is available in five exterior colors including Black, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Silver Sky Metallic, Super White, and, new to the RAV4 palette and for an additional cost, Ruby Flare Pearl.

Additional available features exclusive to RAV4 Adventure grade include optional heated fabric front row seats with power driver’s seat, heated leather steering wheel, and wiper de-icer as part of a new Cold Weather Package.

The 2018 RAV4 Adventure is built exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) and will be available in dealerships later this month.

2018 RAV4 Adventure MSRP

Prices are manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) excluding the delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee of $995. The DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.

Limited Warranty

Toyota’s 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and against corrosion with no mileage limitation.

The 2018 RAV4 also comes standard with ToyotaCare, a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.

This model will begin at a starting MSRP of $27,700*. The Adventure grade is situated between the XLE and SE trim levels. This trim has specific styling that drivers will enjoy.
